Rich, lush and structured, our inaugural vintage displays intense aromas of dark plum, vanilla and soft mocha. This wine is velvety in texture with a long Finish of dried berry, toasty oak and milk chocolate. Enjoy this wine now with a seared New York sirloin and peppercorn sauce or your favorite assortment of cheese and charcuterie.
Vineyard Notes
For our 2019 Reserve Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, select areas within each vineyard are hand harvested, fermented separately and aged in the finest French oak. Each lot is tasted and graded and only the best are considered. The blend is then assembled, and the wine is aged 18 months before bottling.
Production Notes
Sonoma County started off with copious amounts of rain saturating the soil in late winter and spring, about 150% of normal. Heavier rains continued off and on into May followed by early summer heat waves in June which acclimated the vines to warmer weather. Moderate temperatures through the rest of summer allowed for even cluster development. The harvest season was pleasant, with warm weather developing sugar and allowing flavors to ripen until the grapes were harvested October 14.
